sunday, no alarm would have been set for this morning, but i needed to be somewhere by 10 this morning and set the alarm for 8. before 6 i was wide awake and with a guest in the house, i stayed in my nice warm bed and came to notice that i had a headache. i like waking up early, i do not like waking up with an headache. i can only suspect that the headache comes from having had too little water to drink during the past 24 hours after sustained physical exercise and a fair amount of sweating. so, i am now in the process of drinking lots of water.
it was a wonderfully sunny morning and i could forget the headache while walking with a colleague up the street to catch the bus. before 10 my stomach could not forget food, and i have not been in the mood for eating much in the past few days. i had my fun, and my stomach forgot about food, it was not until 3 in the afternoon that i had some soup. the weekend turned out much better than anything i could have imagined. i love having no control over the course of events like this weekend, i can just relax and do what i like doing, rather do what my body likes doing, that is, my body likes to move, teaches me a lot this way, and does give me pain when i do not keep it moving. the headache has persisted, and i am clearly not amused. the afternoon was also beautifully sunny and mild and the last thing i wanted to do when i got home, was to go out again and "enjoy" the sun. i took a nap.
it is either because i have a sore ass, or because of my comment about one photo that i took yesterday where i caught somebody's rather pleasant looking rear end, or it could be because i like nice curves. my mind works in strange ways that perhaps amuse only me. organic chemistry lectures i will forever associate with the professor's rather cute ass. i did not care for organic chemistry much, and the only way i survived the lecture in an awake state was because the professor had a cute ass to look at, i used to love when he turned around to write on the blackboard! today is however not the ass thing that is most present on my mind, it is organic chemistry. i had one hell of a time with mechanisms, and i do not recall ever really understanding how to figure out the mechanisms in organic reactions. to me there were so many possibilities, i never quite knew which one to pick. if ever i get bored in my old age, i will go back and try to figure out organic reactions mechanisms...
for some odd reason this leaves me thinking.
the weekend taught me a few lessons, and it will take me a while to get it all down on paper. why paper?
yes!
that is why i was at a loss for words and often could only say silly stuff... the oddest of all was playing with words, and then finding out what should not have surprised me about grown men. i sometimes blurt out expressions with double meanings without realizing it, then it is always a revelation. basically i was not in a talking mood all weekend, it is that simple. when this happens, i say whatever first comes to my mind, and usually gibberish is what is on the surface, meaningless gibberish. i was right in booking a flight back home, i need to recharge the batteries. i am a bit wound up. last night i was both tired and i had energy enough that i could have danced the night away.
this afternoon my mom called, complained about how low the dollar is, and how crappy the real estate market is, the usual. it was a good thing, i was feeling the need to listen to her, and i certainly was not in a mood to talk. of all the conversations i had this weekend, there was only one real one that i really wanted to have, and i am glad that it happened. it was better than planned, i planned nothing, just had an intent.
