would i want it any other way?
there is this one little duck that i picked up at the "migros" on the marktgasse that is starting to talk to me. it is wooden and it had a label "made in china" stuck to its ass, i removed it. when i am deep into a session, when i have some problem to resolve, i hold it. its silence talks to me, i love it. i love the silence, i love the worthlessness of the object.
these days i am not much for blogging, have just not been in the mood for it, i have been more in the mood for reading and drawing.
over the holidays i spent a fair amount of time exploring the flickr site, and come up to the conclusion that i like taking the pictures, but above all i like when the pictures tell a story, there has to be a story behind it, a story that gets invoked immediately. some of the pictures others have published inspire, others inform, some amaze. i discovered that i really like my own images, those that i have seen and picked from a myriad of possibilities, and i do like playing with light. i return to that state of i either go for a walk because i want to go for a walk, or i go because i want to take pictures.
i often felt that my son and i have a lot of similarities in character, but i am pleased to see that we are quite different. he likes multi-player games because he likes learning about people's behavior in these games. i like observing the behavior, and i sometimes question if i learn anything from it.
if my thoughts seem fragmented today, it is because they are not focused on what this blog is supposed to be about, my feelings. my feelings are not that important to me at this time. this is a mood i welcome any day, any time, it is associated with seeing very clearly what the road ahead is.
